When your pH meter has a bad day

Ever had that moment when your pH meter suddenly reads 14 when you know the water is fine? I once had a meter go haywire during a routine test, and I thought I might need a hazmat suit! Just goes to show you that even the most reliable tools can have a laugh at our expense every once in a while.

And , isn’t that the worst? I had a similar freak-out when my meter jumped to 12 but turned out to be just a dying battery. These little tools can really mess with your sanity sometimes. Ever double-check with a second meter just to be sure?

I’ve definitely had my share of pH meter mishaps too! One time, I had to recalibrate mine midway through a test because it was sitting on the counter for too long without use. Always a good idea to check calibration regularly, right?
