Tools worth buying before my first plant job

Just finished a water treatment program and I’m prepping for my Grade 1 — what handhelds or testers are truly worth owning versus relying on the plant? At a tour last week they were using a Hach 2100Q for turbidity and DPD reagent pillows for free chlorine; should I grab a pocket colorimeter to practice, or wait until I’m hired?

I’d start with a pH/EC handheld and fresh buffers — “calibrate daily”; wait on a colorimeter?
